02/13/2008: Blind Melon Tour Behind For My Friends

The new Blind Melon album, For My Friends, is set for an April 22 release date and the newly reformed band will head out on the road to support the release. The band, reunited after disbanding in 1995, will be fronted by new lead singer Travis Warren along with original members Glen Graham, Brad Smith, Roger Stevens, and Christopher Thorn. Blind Melon disbanded after the death of iconic lead singer Shannon Hoon.

The headlining tour starts in Riverdale, NJ at the end of February and stretches into May, with currently a lone date set for August 30 at a show celebrating the 105th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee, WI.

The first single, Wishing Well, will be available March 4 as a digital download. It is currently streaming at Blind Melon's MySpace page.
